Variation Disclaimer

Slight variations in size, texture and color are expected. This pottery is made by hand with materials drawn from the earth. The natural variability makes each piece one of a kind.

Safe Usage

All MK Clayworks pottery is safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher.

Your pottery can be used in your oven as well, provided you follow these safety instructions to protect both your pottery and your oven.

  1. Inspect for defects. Ensure the piece has no cracks, chips or other defects that could weaken it under heat.
  2. Avoid sudden temperature shocks (thermal shock). Sudden changes in temperature can cause pottery to crack. Never place a cold pottery piece directly in a hot oven or move it from the oven to a cold surface.
  3. Place your room temperature pottery (with contents) in the room temperature oven and allow it to heat up as the oven preheats.
  4. Let the pottery cool inside the oven after turning it off, or place it on a heat-resistant surface to cool slowly.
  5. Don’t exceed 400 degrees Fahrenheit, 200 degrees Celsius.
  6. Use parchment paper to prevent food from sticking or staining the glaze.
  7. Wash the pottery only after it has returned to room temperature.
